- Information We Collect
- Account data: Email address, authentication credentials, and profile preferences.
- Usage data: Translation and correction history, token consumption, selected languages, and feature interactions.
- Device and system data: Operating system type, app version, IP address, time zone, and basic diagnostic logs.
- Payment data: Subscription and transaction metadata (via Stripe, Paddle, or Toss).
We do not store or process full payment card details — those are handled securely by our payment partners.
- How We Use Your Data
- Deliver and personalize AI-powered translation and correction services.
- Manage authentication, billing, and customer support.
- Improve system reliability, detect abuse, and analyze usage patterns (aggregate only).
- Comply with applicable laws and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or third-party marketing.
- AI Data Processing — All AI requests are processed through the OpenAI Enterprise API under a dedicated data-privacy agreement.
- OpenAI acts as a data processor for textBoi, Inc.
- Your data is not used for model training, retention, or profiling.
- All Input/Output content is transmitted via encrypted (TLS 1.2+) channels and deleted from processing logs after completion.
- Third-Party Services — We rely on secure third-party providers to operate the Service:

No advertising or behavioral tracking cookies are used. - Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account remains active.
- Billing and transaction records: up to 5 years (legal requirement).
- AI request logs: stored temporarily (≤ 30 days) for debugging and abuse prevention, then permanently deleted.
- Your Rights — You may:

- Request complete account deletion by contacting support@textboi.ai.
- Withdraw consent for analytics or marketing at any time.
If you reside in the EU/EEA, UK, or similar jurisdictions, you also have rights to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- Security — We employ enterprise-grade security controls including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest.
- Role-based access control and audit logging.
- Cloudflare Zero-Trust and Supabase managed encryption.
We regularly review and update our security measures to prevent unauthorized access or misuse.
- Cross-Border Data Transfers — Your data may be processed in the United States or other regions where our partners (OpenAI, Supabase, Cloudflare, Stripe) operate.
We apply contractual safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and equivalent mechanisms, to ensure adequate data protection under GDPR and CCPA standards. - Updates to This Policy — We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect service or legal changes.
If material updates are made, we will notify you via email or in-app notice at least 30 days in advance.
